Sent Missionaries

David and Beth Lott

Jonathan and rocio Lott

David and Beth Lott served as missionaries in Guatemala from 1991-2018.

In 2013, the Lord began working in their hearts regarding some changes in their ministry. In April of 2018, after several years of God answering prayers for needs in the ministry in Guatemala, counsel with their pastor, and numerous other confirmations of His leading, God moved their ministry to the Central Jungle area of Peru.

Their ministry in Peru involves working alongside their son, Jonathan Lott, and his family, who have been ministering in the Central Jungle region since 2013. Their primary ministry remains the establishing of independent Baptist churches in the Central Jungle area. They have already planted churches in San Ramón (their home base) and in Vitoc (a smaller town about 20 minutes away).

In June of 2021, Friendship Baptist Church of Hurst, TX, became their new sponsoring/sending church for their ministry in Peru. God’s hand and direction in this important ministry change were evident in the entire process of this transition.

God has specially prepared and equipped Jonathan and Rocio Lott for the ministry in Peru. Jonathan was born in Texas and raised on the missions field in Guatemala. His wife, Rocio, is from Lima, Peru. They met while studying at Pensacola Christian College.
Jonathan and Rocio Lott have been ministering in the Central Jungle region of Peru since 2013.
Their ultimate goal is to see souls saved and new churches planted for the glory of Jesus Christ. Because of this, they are actively involved in evangelism, discipleship, church planting, children’s ministry, and leadership training. Currently, most of their ministry involves:
  • A church plant in San Ramón,
  • Bible studies in the nearby town of Vitoc, and
  • The Central Jungle Bible College (their largest and more long-term vision for reaching the Central Jungle for Christ).
