The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loves you so much that He sent Jesus Christ to die for you. In fact, Jesus came to die for all of humanity, but why would he need to die? Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” According to this verse, Jesus had to come and die because all of us have missed the mark of God’s glory. What is the mark of God’s glory? It is absolute perfection. Any little wrong thing that we have done is a time when we have fallen short of God’s glory, this is called sin. “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23a) our sin has separated us from God, and, if left unforgiven, will lead to eternal separation from God in hell. How do we respond to the love of God? Thankfully, it is simple to respond to the love of God. We must turn away from our sin and accept Jesus into our hearts. “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10) Please let us know if you have made the choice to accept Jesus into your heart, we would love to rejoice with you. We would also love to help if you would like more information on how to have a relationship with Jesus.
